Alison teaches courses on both effective leadership and negotiation skills to undergraduates, graduate students and executives. An award-winning teacher, Alison has served as the instructor for the required leadership course in the full-time MBA program at UNC Kenan-Flagler, and additionally has instructed/consulted on leadership and negotiation for executives in numerous corporate organizations. Alison’s research focuses on the determinants and consequences of power, status, and influence in organizations, conflict resolution and negotiation, and verbal and nonverbal communication.
